In 2011 I had the chance to travel for three month with a backpack around the Middle East between Istanbul and Jerusalem. While crossing Jordan, I discovered the fantastic work of the mosaic's craftsmen of Madaba and soon decided to come back after the trip to make my own apprenticeship.

"Abu-Tibo"
is an arabic nickname given by Oussama,
an Egyptian waiter during my first stay there. "Abu" means The father of... "In a way you are your own father" someone said to me!
By the way my father was a jeweller working with stones himself. Precious stones though! He was awarded by the M.O.F (Meilleurs Ouvriers de France) Bests Apprentices of France in his field in 1972. His name was "Pierre" which means stone in French !
